Applications open for the EUSynBioS Steering Committee 2021

The year 2020, unusual and challenging as it was, is slowly coming to an end and with it, we at EUSynBioS are wrapping up our activities before the Christmas Holidays. However, we still have one important announcement to make. As every year around this time, we are now looking for new members to join the EUSynBioS steering committee in 2021.

As the European Synthetic Biology Society, a non-profit association dedicated to bringing together synthetic biologists from across Europe and beyond, we are engaged in a wide variety of activities, such as the organization of online seminars, blog series and our annual symposium. We aim to connect synthetic biologists from both academia and industry, promoting a fruitful environment for discussing and boosting the development of Synthetic Biology in Europe.

Our Steering Committee consists of an equally diverse and international team of researchers and experts from different European countries who work together to promote the initiatives described above, disseminating cooperation across the community, and nurturing Synthetic Biology ecosystems.

We are currently recruiting new members for next year to work on areas such as Management, Social Media & Content, PR & Communication, Funding & Industry and Entrepreneurship. Work at EUSynBioS takes place on a voluntary basis and is not remunerated. Nevertheless, expect to get invaluable insights into the European Synthetic Biology landscape, work with key players from industry and academia on a highly professional level, and above all, help shape and steer the development of synthetic biology in Europe.

We will be organizing a live Q&A session with EUSynBioS’ president, Huseyin Tas, on the third of December straight after our monthly online seminar at 17:00 CET. If you are interested and want to know more about possible roles, activities and requirements, or have any other questions, make sure you register for our seminar.  Of course, you can also contact us via email.

Application deadline is the 10th of January 2021. We are looking forward to your application!
