Ángel is now Lecturer in Synthetic Biology at Newcastle University (UK). His research focus on the multi-scale study of molecular dynamics that will, in turn, govern the functioning of genetic logic circuits. Standardization of data and constructs to establish robust workflows is one of his major challenges. He also runs the MSc in Synthetic Biology to train the new generation of synthetic biologists.
MPI MARBURG, TREASURER 2015
Nico is a graduate student in the Lab of Victor Sourjik at the MPI Marburg and the Center for Synthetic Microbiology (SYNMIKRO). He is working on different aspects of Synthetic Biology, from Protein Engineering to Microbial Community Engineering to provide new tools for Synthetic biology and Metabolic Engineering.
IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON, INDUSTRY LIAISON OFFICER 2015-16
Will is a graduate student in the Ellis Lab at Imperial College London. He is working on strategies to characterise and assemble therapeutic networks in yeast to be re-implemented in mammalian cells for practical usage.
